First create a profile on Twitter.

You can create a profile here >> http://joe-marsh.com/twitter

Your profile will include your username. Your username is what people will associate you with and will brand you… So choose the appropriate name.

Enter your profile information… some information about yourself. Link back to your main site. Use a profile picture and make it a real picture of you. Not something fake. People want to know who you are.

Do a searches on Twitter for people using the terms that are appropriate to your field or niche. Start following these people. Follow 50-100 people each day to keep it simple… You can follow more if you want.

Post status updates… helpful information about your field or niche that others can use. Include links to your site and other sites that are helpful for people in your field or niche.

Continue everyday to follow people and post updates to your account on Twitter. Do this 3 times each day for 15 minute each time and build it from there. If you want… you can spend more time doing this but just be careful. It can become a big time suck and you could find yourself not getting other things done as far as traffic generation.

Take small step now and build from there… Just do it and increase web site traffic to your site through Twitter.

Bookmarking serves a few purposes. First it gets backlinks to your sites from other web sites. Search engines love backlinks.

It also gives you a chance to show your site to users of the bookmarking sites. If your bookmarks are public other users can view your bookmarks.

One word of caution about bookmarks… do not bookmark the same page more than once when your bookmarking.

One tool that makes bookmarking easy is the Firefox Plugin for Onlywire. This tool allows you to bookmark a page one time but have it posted at multiple sites at the same time. You can learn about Onlywire here:  http://joemarsh.com/onlywire

One other way to get bookmarks is to ask your friends and partners to bookmark your pages and posts. People love to help friends. All you have to do is ask.

Does this sound scary… not at all. Here is how…

We often attend teleseminars we sit there and listen but rarely interact. Start interacting. Get your name and web site address out there.

Ask questions… mention your web site address and name.

When you arrive your often given the chance to announce yourself… again announce your web site address and name. This will do many things for you.

It gets your name and web site address out there. Listeners and “Guru’s” will start to recognize you.

Just remember the more people hear your name and web site address the more branding you gain. People will remember you and your site and… You will get more visitors.

So get out there and increase your web site traffic now…

As I am sure you know… video is where it is at. With video you can express opinions create products teach others share information and the list goes on.

But the question I often get is what do you use to create your videos. Well… I use 2 program. Camtasia and Jing.

There are others but I like to keep things simple. With simple you have action and in the online world action is what it is about.

So know that your still reading this… then I will guess that you probably have neither so let’s get going.

First Camtasia has all the bells and whistles you need but is also easy to use. It is a paid product but it is well worth it. You can create videos as long as you like and you are only limited by the size of video you want to create.

Camtasia does have a free 30 day trial. So I would suggest downloading it and get started right away. You could have some videos created in an afternoon and start selling that same day. With the sales you create you can raise money to pay for your version before the trial runs out.

I won’t go into great detail about the program because you can get all the facts at their site. But I will tell you that I use it almost everyday.

Now for Jing… Jing is a free program. It does not have the bells and whistles and is again simple to use. With Jing you are limited to a 5 minute video unless you have their pro version which is paid.

I use Camtasia for my most important videos. Videos that I am going to sell or put online on video sites.

I use Jing for quick explanation videos.

So take a look at both and see what will work for you. But… whatever you do get started right away doing something. Fast action creates success online and don’t think to much… it always messes things up.

Internet Success System Conference often called ISS is about to start. This conference is a 5 day event put on 2 times a year by Interent Marketing Master Mark Hendricks.

Here is a brief run down of the schedule for the conference.

Thursday April 23 — We will be covering split testing and conversion strategies. There will be a networking lunch followed by more testing and Adwords.

A question and answer session with Mark Hendricks and the evening will end with dinner with friends and more networking.

Thursday is often a free day with a special training session of some kind. The actual event with the guest speakers starts on Friday.

Speaking of networking there will be coming soon a really good book on the topic of networking… It’s called “The Wingman Effect” from Aileen Bennett. Make sure to watch for it. There is some really valuable information in there.

I especially like the parts about networking through online social platforms.

Friday April 24 — A surprise presentation from ????. We can’t tell you right now. If we did we would have to kill you. Just kidding.

A presentation the first of three from VIP speaker Kevin Hogan. On “Why they buy… from you”. This should be good. I cant wait.

More networking and lunch.

A presentation from me… This should be interesting. This is actually my first presentation in this manner. I have never used or made a PowerPoint presentation and this will also be my first time presenting to a group of this type.

We will also hear from Christopher Avery and there will be a panel discussion.

And the evening will end with dinner friends and networking.

Saturday April 25 — The day will start with a presentation from David Perdew.

Then we will hear again from VIP guest speaker Kevin Hogan. After Kevin will have a networking lunch.

The afternoon will start with a presentation from Bernie Perry and then John and Jim Greer.

After John and Jim will be another panel discussion.

And then finally the evening will end with a special ISS Gold members dinner. More networking and building relationships.

Sunday April 26 — The first session of the morning will be an ISS members showcase and mastermind sessions.

Then we will have the last presentation from VIP guest speaker Kevin Hogan.

Another networking lunch.

A special presentation from Mark Hendricks. Another panel discussion.

A finial question and answer session. And then dinner and networking.

Monday April 27 — This is an optional day.

This is the first time that Mark has offered this as a planned part of the conference to the group.

The day will start with a breakfast gathering with all the attendees.

And then will be followed by the day at Universal Studios. It should be fun.

A Roundtable forum with Lynn Terry Mark Hendricks David Perdew Willie Crawford Alex Sysoef Jeff Herring.

The group asked various questions and received really great answers.

Lynn Terry- A really insightful and helpful presentation that included affiliate marketing blogging tips and basic SEO.

Willie Crawford- A jam packed show on joint ventures. If you have never had the chance to hear Willie jump at it when you do. He shares great info about joint ventures.

We did lots of breakout sessions and hands on work. Some participants went from zero to hero. What do I mean by that??? They went from no site to sales.

In the next post we will look at day three.. And if you can you need to make it to the next Niche Affiliate Marketing System Conference by David Perdew.
