If you need a free tool to do screen captures/grabs here is one for you.

First I want you to know that now I use SnagIt and have for awhile. It is a great program. If you want to check Snagit out There is a link for you near the bottom of this email.

But… if you are looking for a free program this one will fill your needs.

Screen capture/grabbers are great if you’re writing tutorials, ebooks or anything that calls for a screenshots. This tool is a time-saver.

Here is a little about what these type of programs will do for you…

- You can print the full desktop, active window, predefined area, or user-selected area of the screen with a single key press

- You can add user-defined headers and footers with date and time stamps, resize the printed image, convert to grayscale or negative image, and fade or resize the image to reduce toner or ink usage.

- You can capture screen images and save them to a user-selected local or network folder in either GIF, BMP, JPEG, or PNG formats with user-configurable file naming.

- And you can use it to capture an area of the screen to your clipboard and paste it directly into your documents.

Everyone needs a screen capture/grabber at some point so you have your choice of 2 to choose from. Check them both out and see which is right for you.
